  2. Make ready 1/2 Carrot (thickly julienned into matchsticks)
  3. Take 1/2 bunch Spinach (chopped to 3cm lengths)
  4. Take 1 tbsp Mentsuyu (3x concentrate)
  5. Make ready To make the tofu dressing:
  6. Get 1/2 block Tofu (silken)
  7. Prepare 1 tbsp Soft brown sugar
  8. Get 1 tbsp Miso
  9. Take 2 tbsp Ground sesame seeds (white)
Instructions to make Smooth Konnyaku Shira-ae with Silken Tofu:
  1. Combine the water, konnyaku, and carrot in a pot. Boil until the carrot becomes tender. Drain in a strainer and cool.
  2. Bring some water to a boil in a pot, add a pinch of salt (not listed) and boil the spinach. Allow the water to cool, then drain.
  3. Combine the konnyaku, carrot, and spinach. Flavor with the mentsuyu. Wring out the excess moisture.
  4. Bring some water to a boil in a pot. Cut the tofu into fourths, add to the pot, and simmer over medium heat for 3 minutes. Place in a strainer and use paper towels to drain.
  5. Place the tofu dressing ingredients in a bowl and use a whisk to mix together. Add the tofu while warm and combine until even.
  6. Toss the ingredients from Step 3 with the tofu mixture. Enjoy it while it's still a little warm, or let it cool.

Grains can be great for overcoming a terrible mood. Teff, barley, millet, quinoa, etc are all excellent for helping you feel better. They help you feel full also which can really help to make your mood better. Feeling hungry can actually bring you down! The reason these grains help your mood so much is that they are not hard for your body to digest. These foods are easier to digest than others which helps kick start a rise in your glucose levels which in turn kicks up your mood to a happier place.

Green tea is fantastic for moods. You just knew it had to be mentioned in this article, right? Green tea is loaded with an amino acid called L-theanine. Research has proven that this amino acid stimulates the production of brain waves. This will better your brain’s concentration while also relaxing the rest of your body.
